Andy Hildebrand is a Canadian inventor who grew up in Canada and holds three degrees. Most notably, he has over 80 patents to his name, including 30-50 on fingerprint technology alone. In 2012, Andy was awarded Inventor of the Year by Time Magazine. Most recently, he was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People for 2014 for his work on biometric technologies that have been rapidly changing security systems around the world. Early Life

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Andy Hildebrand played baseball at Garden City High School. Upon graduation, he attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute and majored in mechanical engineering. During his time there, Hildebrand interned for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he worked with their flight software team. After graduating from WPI, Hildebrand went to work for a golf technology company called Flagstick as a lead software engineer. In 2008, he left Flagstick to create his own company called Arccos Golf (co-founded by Robert Sacks).

Career History

Andy Hildebrand has had quite a career. A former vice president of sales and marketing at Apple, Inc., he also spent time as an executive at Softbank and Real Networks, Inc. He founded Network Applied Communication Solutions (NACS) in 2002 and served as its CEO until 2012. The company’s technology is used by providers like AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile to deliver TV services to their customers. Today, NACS’ technology forms the backbone of AT&T’s IPTV service, DirecTV; Verizon’s FiOS TV; Comcast Corp.’s Xfinity service; and Bell Canada’s Fibe TV.

Andy Hildebrand’s Personal Life

This was an odd one. In all of my research, I found very little information about Andy’s personal life. I think it has to do with how private he is; there were two or three photos online of him, and they were all taken at awards ceremonies and functions where photographers are only allowed so close before they are asked to move on (I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a contract stating that none could get closer than 2 feet). What I did find out about his personal life was a bit surprising.

How much did Andy Hildebrand sell auto tune for?

The other thing to look at is how much money did Andy Hildebrand make from selling Auto-Tune? In 2016, after 17 years of licensing Auto-Tune out, he sold it for an undisclosed amount. Even though there was no public figure on how much Auto-Tune was sold for, if we take a guess and say that $50 million was made on selling Auto-Tune. Which would mean by 2022 his net worth will have grown to be around $550 million. Not bad at all!
