Step#1 Ask a question
Start by asking an open-ended and very clear question. Then, make sure you focus on a broader framework like “What do I need to know about…” or “How can I move past…? Questions like these would help you get clear answers.
Step#2 Shuffle the cards
Once you’ve locked the question in your mind, now is the right time to shuffle the tarot cards. There are several ways to shuffle the cards. One way to do that is by simply dividing the tarot deck into multiple piles and combining them into a single deck again. Another way of shuffling the tarot cards is by spreading the cards face down and sweeping all of them into a single pile. Step#3 Pull out your card or cards
After shuffling the cards together properly, now you need to pull a card if you’re doing a simple reading or several cards if you’re doing any spread. Multiple card spreads can broadly tell about a person’s life patch or situation compared to a single card.
Just like there is no right or wrong way to shuffle, in the same way, there is no specific way to pull the cards out. However, you can create a fan out of the tarot card and pull the cards of your choice or simply pull the top card from the deck. The choice is completely yours.
Step# 4 Lay the cards face down in your spread
Now you can look at the card’s face by turning it up from the right side and seeing words, symbols, and images on the card. While you’re doing that, pay close attention to your thoughts. Every symbol, word on the card has a meaning. So, trust your intuition and pay close attention to what thoughts are appearing in your mind.
